Adido website nominated for another award!
Another client of ours, Graduate Jobs South (GJS), has been selected as one of just three finalists in the Best Young Person's Website category of the prestigious Hantsweb Awards 2008.
GJS was initially set up in 2007 by Southampton Solent University and the University of Southampton after funding was acquired via the Southampton Partnership from SEEDA (South East England Development Agency). The site was proudly designed by Adido with a focus on working with small employers in the Southampton area and to encourage students and graduates to apply online for work in Hampshire, thus retaining graduate skills for the regional economy.
The Awards have been running since 2002 and over the years they have highlighted the best in online services to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight communities as well as benefiting the interests of all those who have participated.
Hampshire County Council organises the awards to improve the standard of online services, encourage good practice, reward innovation and raise awareness of the opportunities the web presents for communities.
A record number of more than 1,100 nominations were received for the awards this year, so it really is a fantastic achievement to make the final. Nominations for the awards are assessed by judges with expertise and experience in their chosen field.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 4th November at the Planetarium at Intech just outside Winchester. For more information visit the Hantsweb Awards website at http://www3.hants.gov.uk/hantswebawards.htm
