Still room to Xpand in Dorset
The Xpand initiative run by Business Link in Dorset has hundred of successful applicants since its launch in July 2005. Many companies have been able to improve their web presence through web design or online promotion through to upgrading their hardware and infrastructure, however, there is still time to apply for a grant of up to £2,500 for a project.
"We have been fortunuate to help several of our customers to receive xpand funding. Using the xpand funding we have been able to deliver higher quality solutions for our customers allowing them to make more of their website, either through delievering of easy to use content management systems, so that customers can update their own websites in a couple of clicks, through to implementing search engine promotion campaigns so that online sales can improve" said Director of Adido Solutions, Andy Headington.
For companies to be able to apply for xpanding funding, the following criteria must be met:
a. have fewer than 250 employees (world-wide, including partners and executive directors); and
b. have been trading for 12 months or more; and
c. have either an annual turnover not exceeding 40 million Euro, or an annual balance sheet total (total assets net of depreciation) not exceeding 27 million Euro; and
d. conforms to the 'Independence Criteria' (noted in the application guidelines)
